Welcome to ARMS - The Alice Rowlands Memorial Society
Alice Mary Rowlands lived for just 15 days, but she touched many hearts.
Since Alice died on 10 October 2007 her family has been raising funds in her memory for RMHC - Ronald McDonald House Charities. This organisation provided the Rowlands family with free accommodation close to the hospital where Alice was being treated for a rare liver condition. Staying at the Ronald McDonald House meant that they were able to spend more time with their precious little girl.
ARMS was founded by the Rowlands family to further their ongoing fundraising efforts.
So far ARMS and its supporters has raised over £41,000 for RMHC. In recognition of the money raised, a plaque was unveiled in Alice's name on one of the rooms at the RMHC house in Camberwell, London where the Rowlands family stayed. The Rowlands family were also one of four finalists in the National Family of the Year 2009, after being nominated in the charity category by RMHC.
